When simon was a young man he used to visit the Saab dealership in Oslo Norway with his father, enjoying being “eye level with the headlights” in the showroom window an falling in love with Saab at a young age.
Today he celebrates a long history of owning these cars, and his fathers car sits in waiting, safely under cover in the garage. Its something quite special, and we will get onto that in a future episode!
The Saab 95 Aero Estate
The 95 Aero from this era was a huge success for the company, and their first step into the true estate market - the closest previous family car being the 9000, with its surprisingly colossal boot space (considering its sweeping rear profile) and seating for five.
The 95 took you, your partner, your kids, your neighbours kids, luggage, blankets and even the family pet, and transported them all in luxurious comfort - exactly the way Saab does things.
The 95 wasnt some slow luxury boat, however. They offered the Aero option, as seen with so many other models, which delivered incredible torque alongside trademark stability. Confidence in every corner.
