Happy New Year from Saab Stories
PLUS a look at the year to come!
As I write this I look back on what we have achieved in our second year of the channel.
Not only have we nearly hit our next marker of 1500 subscribers, but we have also tipped over 200 videos for our audiences. This is a combination of full features and Saab Stories shorts - stay tuned as we are always putting out fresh content every week.
Our latest two videos are small bite size Saab movies. The first sees us draw a close to 2025 in an unconventional and slightly silly way… the second is a look at our first Saab meet of the year.
It all started with the Can Can …
Im a hobbyist musician. The original Saab Stories YouTube idea was that every episode would be entirely backed by my own music - The first episode kicked off in this vein, but ultimately it turned out to be far too much work… so I paid for licensed music through a subscription service called Uppbeat.io
I occasionally still use my music in the episodes but otherwise my music is done in my down time, entirely separate from the channel.
However, last month I had an idea.
Could you do a drum and bass remix of the Can Can? It turns out… you can!
And can you then animate the car to almost DANCE to the music? Memories of the classic and cheesy Herbie films coming to mind…

1st Meet of 2026!
It’s been seemingly ages since we managed a get together with our various friends in the community and we just want to share some shots from the first one of the new year, and also to remind you that being a saab owner means you have a family!
From new owner to seasoned serial saab enthusiast, the family of saab owners is a welcoming bunch and there’s always help or ideas to hand if you need it.
My own experience of ownership has been made undoubtedly easier and more enjoyable - and certainly less concerning! - since being involved in the community.
Many issues I have faced (and there have been a few!) I have been able to deal with just that extra little bit of confidence thanks to help and support from my friends in the owners groups. From parts to sometimes simple guidance, I’ve found help along the way. And you will too.
What’s next for the channel?
Our upcoming season takes us on a different path, and the first episode that we begin filming revolves around a buyers guide. A first time saab owners true unbiased thoughts on the brand the car and the people. Something I longed to find during my time researching for my first purchase.
I hope this video serves to support others joining the Saab ranks; with eyes wide open and just a little bit more excitement.
