Filming Wraps for Season Finale
Saab Safety Wins Hearts, Saves Family
Our Saab YouTube channel has its Season Finale!
Heading out last week through wind and rain, we wrapped on filming for our latest episode of our show TalkSteer.
The convertible remained waterproof throughout the storms (Thankyou Renovo!) and allowed us to complete filming for our next episode, and the results are finally ready to show you all.
In this one we interview mother of two Charley and her husband Doug as she shares with us the story behind the sale of her OG93, and the value of Saab Safety for her and her family.
To Charley and husband Doug, the safety of their children takes front seat in their choice for a family car, and both of them have sadly experienced the life saving engineering of Saab cars first hand. Our episode goes into those stories, but also celebrates the love they have for eachother, and the spirit that they carry for the cars that mean so much.
We also learn of her late father’s own mission to restore a classic 900, and her partners love for all things Saab, including driving a 96 V4 as a daily motor.
Jam packed with our guests own photos and videos, plus archive material and more, this episode is full with stories from a Saab family we can all relate to.
We hope you enjoy the show!

Just watched this, Peter. What a great episode with such a lovely family!
My first two Saabs were 96 V4s, one ‘creamy yellow’ from Belsyre Garage in Oxford that gave up the ghost but was sold on for restoration to an enthusiast, the second a Souvenir 96L that I sold to Gabriel Gatehouse [the BBC foreign correspondent] ca. 2011. I saw that it is now on SORN in the Aberdeen area. Identical to the V4 in your feature. MTR 9R.
My 9-3 electric blue 2007 convertible is still an everyday joy to be in. PL07 NZD and I will drive to Torino in Italy on 08 January for ten days.
My other Classic 900 from 1988 F749 PRV is an eight-valve beauty and is with my friend Jonny in Glastonbury. Until achieving historic status in 2028, it remains non-ULEZ compliant within London.
For a future episode, you may like an introduction to Henry Coombe who is a roving Saab specialist mechanic, based in Biggin Hill, who drives all over the U.K. - even in appalling weather - to service and save these extraordinary cars. He is also a real character with many uproarious stories. He is HCVS: Henry Coombe Vehicle Services. I would be happy to introduce him to you.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
