Swedish Day UK 2024
Earlier this month we attended Swedish Day UK 2024, arriving in style with three fellow members of the SAAB 9-3 Lime Yellow Owners Group, all in convoy.
From our swanky arrival, to meeting some wonderful fellow Saab owners we had a superb day, and captured some great conversations for Episode Three of TalkSteer!
We cannot wait to share our next episode with you all!
Coming to your screens later this week, we welcome you all to tune in and enjoy!
Hearing your stories and sharing your love of the brand is exactly what Saab Stories is all about. Please like, subscribe and share our videos with your family and friends. Together, we keep the Saab name alive.
An unexpected meeting…
Today, during the last steps of our house move, we chose to take a few minutes to breathe and went around the corner to the pub. Spotting a TTid wagon in the car park, I naturally parked up next to it, and slapped our TalkSteer logo magnet on our car, on the off chance the owner may spot it and find our little channel.
“rules are rules”
an unwritten rule of Saab ownership is if you see another Saab in the wild, you park next to it, and snap a picture for posterity
A quiet but cosy environment welcomed us inside and we found ourselves sat in a comfy corner with a coke.
A few minutes later a gentleman walked up to our table and said hello. He said “I couldn’t help but notice that rather lovely green Saab in the car park”. He went on to tell us about how he used to own the pub, and was in the process of also moving house.
He told us about his ownership of a Jaguar XF, which prompted him to purchase the Saab to keep the miles off the XF, celebrating Saab’s reliability and quality. We also joked about how spacious the wagons were - perfect for moving house, unlike my convertible - though with the roof down, anything is possible!
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the iconic SAAB 9000. With many still on the roads today and some boasting over 300,000 miles on their clocks, this model has not only made a lasting impact on the automotive world, but garnered fans and captured hearts of motorists everywhere.

This year celebrates an enduring legacy that is purely, utterly SAAB.
This year at the SAAB Car Museum in Trollhättan, Sweden, we see that legacy reborn as part of their annual festival.
