Wow are we really at 20?
Welcome back to Saab Stories on Substack!
This week we have returned from a short stay in Devon with the Saab, and are now well on the way with writing up the new episode ahead of filming.
A Big Thank You
But before we get onto that, we just want to give a big shout out to all of you that have chosen to take the time to subscribe to our show, and watch our videos! Our channel goes from strength to strength and it appears that we gain around 100 subscribers each month, which is amazing, but we really need your help to take us to the next level.
Subscribers
Our first milestone when we launched the show was 500 subscribers, and we were deeply honoured when that target was reached. Knowing how much our work means to you all gave us a real push to keep making movies and grow the channel further. Now, in October 2025 we sit at an Incredible 1343 subs, but we really want to hit the big 2k!
So please, if you enjoy our show please tell your friends, post it on Facebook, and get the word out! Remember, we do not make any money from these films, and as such the subscribers and the views are so valuable to us!
Top Performers
With each episode we appeal to a different subset of the owners community, and the performance of each allows us to tailor our content to what our viewers want. Up until this point, we were flying blind.
Our latest episode, exploring the relics of the Saab 99 and the value of restoring barn-found antiques has been a great success, and proves to us that our audiences love a fuzzy nostalgia trip!
Our previous episode to this covered a local independent breakers yard, which was met with great warmth and continues to draw new views every day. If you need a part for your saab, these amazing businesses are true life savers.
What’s Next?
Following an interesting (and rather expensive!) few months with our saab, we have chosen to put together our very on “First Time Saab Owners Guide” for anyone considering purchasing their first Saab.
In this episode we will cover all the pros and cons, ups and downs and Swedish oddities in a “no holding back” approach. A true unbiased review of the model, the brand and the community around it.
