600 BHP TURBO X
In this show we head up to Rotherham as well as Grantham to interview Kieran Scannell from Saab fabricators Scanifab, to hear all about their business and get a hands on experience of their project car, a Saab 93 Turbo X.
The Turbo X was the most powerful production car from Saab, delivering 280bhp as stock, but at Scanifab, they’ve chosen to fettle, tune, and modify the Turbo X to achieve an entirely new world of performance.
As it stands, this Turbo X is the most powerful (known) road legal V6 in the country, delivering a whopping 563bhp with over 500lbs torque.
To kick off the second part of our episode - where we get behind the wheel of this incredible machine - we had the honour of shooting at Grantham based karting circuit Ancaster Leisure.
Ancaster Leisure is a business that provides not only a top class Karting circuit and facilities but also a range of activities pursuits including Airsoft, Archery and more.
Setting off from the circuit, I was stunned. The acceleration, handling, stability and grip of this car was something I’d never before experienced.
During our conversation we discuss the lasting legacy of Saab, the Scanifab business and its place in the community.
We also ask Kieran the question - Why take a 16 year old Saab Estate and take it to this level, with so many new alternatives out there from the likes of BMW and Audi?

The Return of Swedish Day
Following on from this adventure we are hot on the heels of another, and this coming Sunday 11th May we are making a triumphant return to Swedish Day, this year held in Yeovil at the town rugby club.
As many of you will recall, last years Swedish Day was a hit for our channel, with so many enthusiastic and fascinating owners to meet, and loads of gorgeous Saab’s to adore.
This year looks to be no different, and what’s more is that we will see the RETURN of the Lime Yellow Saab Owners Club, arriving once more in convoy to this years event.
